Dalacine Stud is owned by relative newcomer to the industry, local Palmerston North pharmacist Grant Irvine. Grant Irvine has been a very successful breeder of Charolais cattle and is looking forward to the challenge presented by the thoroughbred industry. "I am really excited at the prospect of breeding my mares to Gone For Real" says Grant Irvine. "It is rare to find a horse that can upgrade his mares to the extent that Gone For Real has, his AEI/CI figures place him second only to Danehill and well ahead of sires such as Cape Cross, Stravinsky and Red Ransom amongst Northern Hemisphere shuttle sires familiar to local breeders.
